Within the conference, Ese:o will conduct a workshop for 35 people entitled “A South-South Collaboration for Teaching Writing for Academic Publication on Gender and Sexuality: The Ese:o Methodology and Experience”, centered on disseminating the experience of the Peer Review project.

The workshop aims to create awareness about the main barriers that prevent researchers from the South having access to publication in leading peer-reviewed journals in the field of Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights, Gender and Sexuality.

Participants will engage the politics of academic international publication in their fields and consider strategic approaches to this issue through the presentation of a research project by Ese:o and an interactive critical exercise designed to stimulate a reflection about the politics of international academic writing and publication.
